Another month brings another assortment of the cream of the nation's musical talent at one of Manchester's most cherished band nights. This month sees the bill headed by Wigan's finest decadent rockers, The Suzukis.

THE KBC – Trippy punk-funk trio with a hallucinogenic, addictive swagger that leaves you helplessly dancing throughout their live set. Modern comparisons include The Music, The Rapture and Radio 4.

The Shmatte Kid – An informed, eclectic and tuneful indie band. Mixing the arrangements of the furries, the dissonance of the Mothers and the guitars of Pavement with the melodic style of the Beach Boys.
