Willy Mason hits UK

Willy Mason will be returning to the UK in February to play a residency in London at The Enterprise. These dates will coincide with the release of Willy's debut single, OXYGEN and his debut album, WHERE THE HUMANS EAT on February 28th.

Hailing from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, Willy Mason is a 19 year old troubadour who is sometimes backed by his 16-year old brother, Sam. After leaving high school, Willy decamped to New York, where he performed at various open-mic nights as well as opening up for such acts as Ben Kweller, Roseanne Cash, Bright Eyes and Greg Brown.

“Willy Mason claims he's 19, but it's difficult to believe him, mainly because the Massachusetts-bred songbird already sounds as wise as Bob Dylan and as world-weary as Elliott Smith…This youth is about to inherit the Earth.” NME

“The Massachusetts native proudly shows off a New England honk unheard since Jonathan Richman was in his prime. Mason manages to evoke both the White Stripes and their minor-key counterparts, the Queens of the Stone Age, without really sounding like either.”
