KCR At The Carling

A new live music night for Liverpool Music begins at The Carling Academy on Wednesday 15th December 2004.

The Carling Academy and KCR 107.6 FM are hosting a special Christmas showcase, bringing together the best of Liverpool’s new musical talent. The event will be hosted by Dave Monks, presenter of 'The Pool’ on KCR, Liverpool’s only dedicated new and local music programme.

The showcase will be a rare opportunity to catch headliners Mulu who are playing their first major gig in the city this year. Mulu will be performing tracks from their highly acclaimed début album ‘Smiles Like A Shark’.

There will be further performances from Liverpool bands The Suns with their bittersweet fusion of graceful rock and warm acoustic nostalgia, and also Santa Carla with colourful, concise tunes, indelible choruses and knife sharp lyrics.

The evening will also be a great opportunity to hear some of the new music featured on Dave’s programme between sets. This is sure to be a great night’s entertainment for all those who follow Liverpool’s vibrant music scene.

Doors open at 7pm and the first band will be onstage at 8pm. Tickets are priced £4, available on the evening or from the Carling Academy 2 website: link
