Razorlight singer Johnny Borrell has walked offstage during a concert in Denver, while on tour in the US supposedly promoting their debut album Up All Night.
According to fans at the show at the Larimer Lounge in Denver on Saturday (January 22), the singer left the stage after five songs and didn’t return.
One fan told NME.COM: “The rest of the band announced that he was not going to come back, and that was the end of the show. They went out into the crowd and apologised to just about everyone, saying that we should get a refund.”
Speaking to fans on the band’s official website, Johnny put his inability to play down to “extreme stage fright”.
He added: “I can't really explain it. I will play for free next time we come back here, which I hope will be in April.”
Following this mid set exit the show at El Ray Theatre, LA was also cancelled due to singer sickness. Their appearance on Craig Kilborn's The Late Late Show tonight (28th) also now looks doubtful.
Razorlight play their biggest ever UK shows next month, calling at:
Manchester Carling Apollo (February 4-5)
Glasgow Carling Academy (6-7)
London Alexandra Palace (11-12)
