They’re back! The Mexican born, Dublin based guitarists, Rodrigo and Gabriela are technically brilliant – blending flamenco, Mexican folk and jazz to produce dizzying virtuosity with a complete disregard for conventional boundaries that sees them mix Metallica’s One with Dave Brubeck’s Take Five. Literally breathtaking, to catch them live is an un-missable and electrifying occasion.
As Guitarist Magazine wrote in 2004 “It shows what can be achieved with a pair of acoustic guitars when they are put in the hands of people who are prepared to push the limits”. Whether playing at V2004, T In The Park, Glastonbury and WOMAD or supporting Will Young, Courtney Pine or Salif Keita, Rodrigo y Gabriela steal the show.
