April 2005 sees the release of Ian Macnabb's first single in nine years, ‘Let The Young Girl Do What She Wants’ and the album ‘Before All Of This’ due for release in May 2005. A professional musician since the age of fifteen, Macnabb started out playing workingmen's social clubs in the northwest of England. Although he now reckons he's only just getting started, ‘Let The Young Girl Do What She Wants’ is only the iceberg of an already impressive back catalogue. The 2000 release of ‘Waifs and Strays’ (a seven year compilation of unreleased and demo material) showed Macnabb’s ability to craft winning songs, surprising everyone by selling strongly well beyond the circle of die hard fans. The immanent release of 'Before All Of This' can only further his widespread appeal, about time for one of Britain’s best songwriters.
