David Bowie's website has quashed any rumours of summer festival dates for the 58 year old star this year.
Bowie has not performed since cancelling several festival dates and cutting short his A Reality World tour last year due to emergency heart surgery.
The webmaster on the Bowie site says,
“There are currently no David Bowie live dates planned for 2005, but obviously you'll be the first to know if this situation changes.”
As an aside on February 7th Universal Music releases a DVD of an early promotional film Bowie made in 1968 while he was still a struggling singer with Decca Records.
Love You Till Tuesday, made for television but never screened on a major network, features the original version of Bowie's debut hit 1969's Space Oddity and various other early rarities including Rubber Band and When I Live My Dream.
Also featured is a bonus DVD containing songs including Threepenny Pierrot and Columbine that Bowie performed during a Scottish TV production in 1970 of the 30-minute play The Looking Glass Murders.
