OUTBREAK UPDATE

Glasswerk and XFM's 'Outbreak' festival is now just over a week away – the posters are up, the flyers are spreading the word, the bands are busy readying themselves and the radio advertising on XFM is gracing the airwaves.

It didn't take long to happen and it comes as no surprise, but the Dogs Die In Hot Cars gig Downstairs @ The Garage on Friday 18th February has now sold out. Fans with tickets can count themselves lucky, such was the speed of sale, whilst those without may have to settle for a visit to a certain online auction site….

And in another exciting flurry, Flook Music and Violent Vinyl, Glasswerk and XFM can now confirm that rockers Arctic Monkeys will be appearing as headliners in the special guests slot on Friday 18th February, Upstairs @ The Garage. Having crafted their songs on the streets of Sheffield, their notable talent for penning a social comment or two, mixed up with intensely catchy melodies, will be on show for their debut London appearance. Supporting Arctic Monkeys, in the second special guests slot, will be Chineapples – their genre-busting set list has had audiences captivated and they’re now taking East London by storm. From low-slung blues-influenced loveliness to full-on rock and roll, the Chineapples are one of the most exciting new bands to hit the capital.

And if that isn't enough to whet your appetite, how about the news that Essex rock band Charakka have joined the bill and will hit the stage on Wednesday 16th February?
