DFA 1979 vids n tour

‘Blood On Our Hands’ was originally released as a super limited edition 7” only picture disc back in July. It immediately sold out and found it’s way onto ebay where you’re now lucky to pick one up for less than £20. Time Out remarked that it is ‘more a force of nature than a song’ , it is getting an official release on February 14th through 679 Recordings ahead of their debut album ‘You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine’ on February 28th.

‘Blood On Our Hands’ is released on two 7” singles and CD single and comes backed with some exclusive b-sides across three formats. Having already remixed the band’s previous single ‘Romantic Rights’, on their last visit to the UK Jesse and Sebastien spent a day in the studio with nom du jour Paul Epworth. The first fruits of which are ‘You’re Lovely (But You’ve Got Problems)’ which can be found on the b-side of 7” 1. The band have also recorded a cover of ‘Better Off Dead’ which was originally performed by late seventies Boston post punks La Peste , exclusively available on the b-side of 7” 2. The Erol Alkan remix of ‘Romantic Rights’ was a massive record on the dancefloors of some of the countries more debauched club nights, it was eventually voted one of the remixes of the year in the NME. The band’s reputation of delivering great remixes continues with Alan Braxe’s mix of ‘Blood On Our Hands’ which is available on the CD single.
