What? Weezer finally have a new album?
Word is that Weezer have nearly completed work on their fifth album, the long awaited follow-up to 2002’s ‘Maladroit’.
The band announced via their website that they are just some vocal work short of finishing the album ready for mixing. Rick Rubin has once again produced the as yet un-named record but is planned for a May release, to be preceded by the single 'Beverly Hills'.
The band has also confirmed their first live date in over two years, as they will take to the stage on April 30th at the Coachella Festival in Indio, California.
