LOLA RAY hit the UK

2004 saw Lola Ray release their debut album “I Don¹t Know You” in the US to widespread critical acclaim ”catchy, hard rocking, and precise, a clattering punk record with a new wave heart” Revolver (US). From the full out rock attitude of “What It Feels Like (mixed by Tom Lord-Alge -Weezer, Blink 182, Marilyn Manson) to the beautifully uplifting “Charlit Movie Star”, from the new wave pop of the autobiographical “Our Brown Friends” to the Weezer-esque rock of “Slave”, the album is a master class in intelligent, crafted songwriting. The band also hit the road, hard with bands as varied and interesting as The Killers, Sum 41, Lost Prophets, Jet, The Sounds and Good Charlotte.

As they prepare to release the album in the UK, the band play their first UK shows throughout February 2005 on a co-headline tour with US act The AKA's. The AKA¹s are signed to hugely well respected US label Fueled By Ramen (who launched Jimmy Eat World). Full tour details below and tickets for all venues are £6. Doors for all nights are 7.30pm.
