Snoop Dogg, is doing his first live dates in the UK for over a decade starting February 11th at the London's Hammersmith Apollo venue. The show is the first of 4 UK dates the LA rapper has hooked up to coincide with the 21st February release date of his new single Let's Get Blown , which is lifted from his new album R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece.
Snoop has been to these shores a couple of times. The first was in 1993 following the release of his now legendary debut album, Doggystyle. Certain quarters of the media called for him to be expelled from the UK as the rapper was then seen as the embodiment of the new wave of gangsta rap. Snoop's since moved on to become a hip hop entrepreneur with a clothing line, movie career, TV show and all the style any man could want.
Let's Get Blown follows in the footsteps of first single Drop It Like It's Hot with its Neptunes production and Pharrell vocals. Drop It… reached #10 in the chart in December '04 and was Snoop's most successful UK single so far.
