Franz Headlining at V
Double Brit Award winners Franz Ferdinand will co-headline this year's V Festival, it was announced today.
The band, who were named best British group and best British rock act at the music awards, will join fellow Brit winners the Scissor Sisters.
The event, which takes place in Weston Park, Staffordshire, and Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex, is now in its 10th year.
Franz Ferdinand's frontman Alex Kapranos said: “We heard about what a great festival V was to play last year and wished we could have been there.
“We're really excited to be playing the main stage and co-headlining with the Scissor Sisters – we'll be sure to give fans a performance to remember.”
Last year, the likes of Keane, Dido, The Pixies and Snow Patrol all performed at the festival.
Virgin Radio will broadcast the event, which takes place on August 20 and 21.
