That's Life For Albert Lee

Albert Lee is, by common consent, one of the world’s great guitarists. He has lined up alongside all the greats of rock, blues and country and is equally at home tearing up the blues with Eric Clapton, picking some fine country with Chet Akins or ripping into rock with Paul McCartney.

His band “Head, Hands & Feet” were acknowledged, in the early 70’s, as the best country-rock fusion around and Albert’s brilliant playing on tracks like “Country Boy” led an offer to join The Rolling Stones which Albert declined leaving the field open for Ronnie Wood.

Albert joined Eric Clapton’s band touring and featuring on some of Eric’s biggest selling albums including the platinum selling “Slowhand”. His session work is legendary – he’s played with everyone you could possibly imagine from B.B.King to George Jones and from The Stones to Bob Dylan.

He was a Grammy award winner in 2002 and has been nominated again for 2005. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.

Now, he fronts “Hogan’s Heroes”, a terrific blend of country, rock & blues and featuring stalwart, virtuoso musicians like Pete Wingfield on keyboards & vocals. Pete who had a top ten it himself in 1974 with “Eighteen with a bullet”, has, like Albert, played with the cream of world rock musicians.

Add to these two, the brilliant pedal steel playing of Gerry Hogan, the thumping, fluid bass of Brian Hodgson and the superb drumming of Pete Baron and you have a recipe for a brilliant band and a guarantee of a magical treat of timeless and passionate music.

Hogan’s Heroes will be supported by the fastest rising young acoustic band in many years, Tiny Tin Lady, who have been confirmed for this years Glastonbury Acoustic Stage

It’s another great double header from Player Two Promotions – Don’t miss out.
