A member of the Scottish Parliment, Pauline McNeill, will table a motion on Wednesday entitled 'Franz Ferdinad Rocks'. This follows news, reported in the Daily Record, that organisers are pulling out all the stops to get the Brit Awars winners to perform at the Scottish Parliment alongside Idlewild and Mull Historical Society.
The band are being honoured for their success at this year's Brit awards. An insider at the parliament said: “They have been part of the fabric of the Scottish pop scene and the British pop scene for the last year. Even some of the crusties in parliament know who they are.”
