Keane: Download Only To Help Make Poverty History

Following the exclusive broadcast of Keane's specially recorded version of 'What A Wonderful World' on the night of Red Nose Day, Keane will follow up by encouraging everyone to download the song. All you need to do is go to link is a 'timed out' download, so you will only be able to play the track five times before you have to return to the MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY site to download it again.

Tom Chaplin of Keane said “2005 is the year we can all make a real difference to millions of people. 30,000 children die needlessly due to poverty every day. As a band we're wearing the MAKE POVERTY HISTORY wristband and we're asking everyone to join up and download the track.”

Meanwhile, Keane have just completed a headline tour in the US, where their album has sold over 600,000 copies. They spent virtually all of 2004 on the road playing over 70 shows in the UK including Glastonbury, T in the Park and V Festival. They toured Australia, Japan, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Holland and toured the US twice. 2005 will be no less busy with further shows around Europe and Keane have just announced that they will headline the Wireless Festival in London's Hyde Park on 29th June '05.
