The excellent Mohair are once again taking to the road with their 2005 spring tour, it also coincides with the release of their next single Keep It Together (16th May, TBA Records / Universal). The melodic four-piece from Watford have been racking up favorable reviews from national press recently and bagging a play list on BBC Radio 2.
With the tour rolling into Liverpool on the way – Glasswerk.co.uk Liverpool thought it would be a good idea to catch up with Alex (piano & vocals) from the band.
Asked how the band were looking forward to the single release and visiting Liverpool, Alex responds.
“Yes, we are indeed looking forward to Keep It Together coming out – the fact that the release is going to be internet heavy is not something we’ve done before.
Liverpool has had a strong influence on Mohair. The Beatles obviously are top of the tree, but The Coral and The Zutons are great. It’s great that a place can have a sound all of its own – you’d be hard pushed to find that in most places.”
Take one listen to Mohair, with their catchy choruses and excellent harmonies; it’s not hard to hear such influences. It also makes for a great live show!
