With lyrics such as “she got no tit” and “I’m really goo-goo over you, I’m mentally retarded too,” Lookout Records’ The Queers are anything but. With more than two decades behind them, The Queers are something of a punk rock institution. Not every band could get away mixing the sound of The Ramones with Beach Boys, yet The Queers quirkiness works a treat. Despite a notable absence from the music scene, music promoter’s link (check out website for more info and other cool stuff) present one of the most prolific punk bands of recent times. Having played with bands such as Rancid and having just finished a US tour, The Queers hit UK shores in June.
