The boys from Wakefield are on a roll…2005 has seen a re-energised trio emerge unscathed from their first album campaign last year onto a new plateau with the forthcoming 'difficult' second album syndrome swiftly being dispatched with a bottle to the head and a knee in the groin – and anyone who's witnessed The Cribs live experience will concur with that statement!
The band who recently graced the Top 30 with their 'Hey Scenesters!' single continue onwards and upwards with the release of their second taster for the album 'The New Fellas' with new single 'Mirror Kisses'.
Released on June 13th, the track has been proving a live fave on the band's recent live excursions with fellow Yorkshire men Kaiser Chiefs. Those dates have proved to be pivotal point on The Cribs axis and with the wind behind 'em should see the band land a suitable thermal and coast the remainder of 2005.
Nestling in the comfy environs of Wichita Recordings , 'Mirror Kisses' comes backed with the band's own take of the Kaiser Chiefs' 'Modern Way' on one 7″ which was only available to a few when given away at live shows earlier this year and will be racked up nicely in reputable musical emporiums countrywide on two 7″ – and CD.
Meanwhile, taking to the road once again with their own headline shows as well as appearances on the upcoming NME / Rizla tour, The Cribs play as follows….
