Live Aid 2 – Live 8

20 years on from the original Live aid, charity crusader Bob Geldof is at it again with the announcement of Live 8 aimed to highlight the problems of global poverty and debt.

The event will be held from 2pm on July 2nd at Hyde Park London. On the same day, other concerts in Paris, Rome, Berlin and Philadelphia. Surely to be the open air event of the year, confirmed acts so far include veterans Madonna, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Sting, U2, REM and Annie Lennox as well as younger talent from Scissor Sisters, Muse, Keane, Coldplay and Robbie Williams.

Many more are yet to be confirmed, rumours are abouns claiming big hitters such as The Spice Girls and Pink Floyd could reform for the gig.
