In association with Amicus, Karma Download, The Band Agency and Protest Recordings, VIRTUAL FESTIVALS presents 'DISCOVERED' – a nationwide search to give two new acts the chance of a lifetime to play at five music festivals this summer; Guilfest, Tin Pan Alley, Beautiful Days, Get Loaded in the Park and Bestival.
London rockers and Glasswerk top-tip 'Overdrawn' have been shortlisted as one of ten winners – the full ten will be announced exclusively on Virtual Festvials.com on 8th June 2005, and the band's songs will be available for download on karmadownload.com the same day, where fans can register their support for the Top Two by downloading tracks from their favorite bands.
The top two acts will get to play on at least five festival stages – Guilfest, Tin Pan Alley, Beautiful Days, Get Loaded in the Park and Bestival… exposing them to audiences in the thousands!
In addition the winners will be featured on the 'Artists Rising' compilation CD to be distributed in Virgin Megastores across the UK by The Band Agency – a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to seeing new music thrive. They will also be considered for a deal with Protest Recordings, the most innovative online record company of the moment, and the UK's first e-label distributing worldwide through iTunes and other recognised e-retailers.
