For the first time a collection of images and sounds capturing some of the world's most unforgettable live music moments, will be bought together in one unique exhibition – Living The Moment at Sony Ericsson Proud Camden this summer.
Freddie Mercury at Live Aid, New Order at Reading Festival, Stone Roses at Spike Island, Bob Marley at Hammersmith Odeon – everyone has a favourite. A committee of influential music characters have come together to vote for their top 50 live music experiences of all time. The scope has been completely open and includes music from any age and any genre – the only condition is that it is LIVE!
Committee members include the Kaiser Chiefs, John Moore (Jesus & Mary Chain – Rough Trade), Dizzee Rascal, Jimmy Cauty (KLF – Orbital), Danny Goffey, Carl Barat (The Libertines), Larry Love (Alabama 3), Alesha Dixon (Mis-teeq), Chaz Smash (Madness) and Paul Connolly (The Times Eye). “A nationwide poll in the Times Eye gave the public the chance to vote for their favourite acts.”
The launch night is on the Thursday 28th July, 7-9pm and Glasswerk has three pairs of tickets to give away. As well as being one of the first people to see this exhibition, winners will also be treated to some complimentary drinks. Larry Love (Alabama 3), Danny Goffey and Carl Barat (Libertines), amongst others will be performing live.
The exhibition will run publicly from 29th July – 2nd September at the
Sony Ericsson Proud Camden Gallery, Stables Market, the Gin
House, Chalk Farm, Camden, NW1 8AH
