The recently released The Essential Michael Jackson crashed into the UK album chart this week at no.2, shifting 45,000 copies.

“He has a massive fanbase so it's no suprise,” quipped HMV press director Gennaro Castaldo. “But he'll need a cutting edge new studio album to make a major comeback.”
