Hot on the heels of her fantastic new album Nolita, the singer songwriter Keren Ann Zeidel makes her first UK appearances this August. Commencing at the Big Chill Festival on August 5th, Keren Ann will then support Madeleine Peyroux the following night at London's Shepherds Bush Empire (August 6th) before headlining her own show at the gorgeously intimate Spitz Club on August 9th.
Keren Ann's 'Nolita' album, has been earning great reviews. Recorded in both English and French, it's a sumptuous recording from the school of Gainsbourg. Haunting, beautiful, melodic and exquisite, 'Nolita' has had the critics purring:
“The album is packed with delightful surprises…” The Sun
“Luminous, swoony, melancholic and moving.” The Times
“In English, Keren Ann recalls Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval, a singer often imitated but rarely equalled.” The Observer
“A bewitching and exciting talent…” Music Week
