Jump on the download music Bandwagon

August 4th 2005, Bandwagon announced the launch of the first ever download portal, where real music fans can download tracks from independent labels and unsigned bands directly onto their mobile phones.

Bandwagon will launch its UK service in September with a range of 20 Independent labels and over 200 signed and unsigned artists. The service is forecast to grow to 20, 000 artists and over 1 million community users by the September 2006. In addition, Bandwagon is set to launch in the US in April 2006. Users will be able to meet online to discuss, discover and recommend new bands with their peers, as well as download full versions of their favourite tracks, ringtones and music videos directly to their mobile phones.

Bandwagon is the UK’s first social networking community online portal, where independent labels, their bands and unsigned bands alike can make their catalogues available to the mass market. Currently only the mobile operators, major record labels and online music sites (dominated by iTunes) provide capability for digital music downloads, with the network operators exclusively offering mobile music services.
