Lady Sovereign headline tour

LADY SOVEREIGN sets off on her first major UK tour to coincide with the release of her new single 'HOODIE' out NOVEMBER 7TH. SOV will support the GO! TEAM on their forthcoming dates in October, before heading off on her own headline tour in November.

Following her recent Top 30 hit '9 – 5', SOVEREIGN releases her latest, BASEMENT JAXX produced, single 'HOODIE' out November 7th on ISLAND RECORDS. “If anyone stands out from the pack its SOVEREIGN; her attitude, her quirkiness not to mention her own strictly British femininity that just makes her a star” Basement Jaxx. 'HOODIE' is the first of these sonically vibrant collaborations with the Jaxx duo. An ode to Adidas and SOV'S favourite attire, the electro flare is a far cry from Killer Mike's 'A.D.I.D.A.S' anthem of years past. Her debut album will follow early next year.

As well as being busy in the studio and performing at a number of events, including THE EDEN PROJECT and TDK FESTIVAL, SOVEREIGN was flown out to New York by JAY-Z and the DEF JAM label for a meeting earlier this month, where she met with JAY-Z and label chairman LA REID, during which they were joined by none other then USHER! SOV won over JAY-Z after an impromptu performance for the all
star audience, with JAY-Z promising to get her into the studio to start cutting tracks with some A-List producers as soon as possible.
