Electronic Arts to Launch Music Label

Electronic Arts, the MacDonalds of videogaming are to launch their own music label Often using liscenced tracks in their games from current popular pop and rock artists, the label will focus instead on scores specifically commissioned for titles including Paul Okenfold's efforts for Goldeneye and Blaze's for NBA Live 2004 among others.

EA claim the move is being made because gamers identify music with top selling games in the same way they do to popular movies, comparing them to classic tones from Jaws and Star Wars.
