After parting ways with Sony in the middle of 2004, Hundred Reasons have spent their time away from the spotlight writing and demo-ing new material and exploring other musical projects (Colin with The Lucky Nine and This Is Menace; Larry producing Million Dead, Capdown, My Awesome Compilation and Save Ourselves).
Aside from a headlining slot at Wakestock, the band have been playing unadvertised, undersized gigs, harking back to when they first started playing live and enjoying the intimacy of their hardcore, loyal fan-base.
The new material written in this period fell into the hands of the managing director at V2 – currently riding high with Bloc Party, Elbow, The Rakes, Stereophonics and Paul Weller – who promptly snapped them up.
The first fruits of this partnership will be a limited edition release (the
third instalment in the band's Singles Club series) towards the end of this year, to coincide with a Kerrang! sponsored 'Most Wanted' Barfly tour. Previously limited to the web site fan club only, Singles Club 2 was mailed to over 20,000 people. A new single and brand new album will follow in early 2006.

“We're happy that we're signing to V2 – they've seemed the natural choice for us since we first met them. As a label they speak a lot of sense (which is rare!) and with them behind us world domination is once again within our grasp.
The next album is shaping up to be one angry bastard of a rock record, the product of a very frustrating twelve months. We can't wait to get it released and for us to get back on tour where we belong.” – Larry Hibbitt.
