The Southern Electrics Competition

In association with Glasswerk, The Southern Electrics will release their new single Save You on 12th December.

This will be preceded by a launch party at Cargo on Wednesday 30th November, where Nigel Clarke from Dodgy will also be performing!

We are offering a very special prize for this event… an Electric Superhighway Album, Electric Superhighway Single, T-shirt & a pair
of VIP Passes (including complimentary drinks) to the show. 2 runners-up receive copies of the album and single.

All you have to do is send the answer to this very simple question to mail by midnight on Saturday 26th November. What is the name of the b-side to Save You? If you have won you will be informed immediately.

The Southern Electrics return on 12th December 2005 with Save You, the second single from their critically well received debut album Electric
Superhighway. They've built a formidable reputation & following, playing
regularly at top UK venues including Cargo, The Barfly, 93 Feet East, The Metro Club, South Club (Manchester), along with a headline slot at Beached Festival 2005 & recent dates in Ireland & Germany.

Having already received extensive radio airplay, including BBC Radio, RTE2 FM (Ireland), Today FM (Ireland), Totalrock & XFM, in April they recorded a Live BBC Television Session with BBC Live Music Director David Amphlett, recording the tracks Save You & Media Coke Whore (see the footage at link). The Promo Video to the last single Electric Superhighway was extensively played on Sky & Cable Television.

The b-side to Save You, Barcelona Burnout was written for the
documentary film Barcelona Burnout. TSE provided the music to the film, a road trip documentary film about the 100th Anniversary of the Harley Davidson, produced and directed by Vincent Lewis with Executive Producer Andrew Mark Sewell as an Ignite/B7 Co-Production. Barcelona Burnout can currently be seen on digital & satellite TV channel Men and Motors. A special showing of Barcelona Burnout with The Southern Electrics Unplugged performing music from the film is taking place at the Greenwich Picturehouse on 2nd December.
