Three of the best from Backbeat

Three Sussex bands – Trent, the Wailing Jacks and Summer Born Wild – are to rock the raggy socks off the the Brighton Concorde at a Backbeat Records special at on Saturday 11 Feb.

Elusive headliners Trent have recently finished recording their debut album with Phil Vinal.

The Wailing Jacks mix dirty southern blues with a 60s mod sensibility. Both Radio 2, and Xfm have tuned into them and the band are due to release their debut single on iTunes next month.

Eastbourne's Summer Born Wild are an energetic three piece dubbed the new manics and they're already causing a stir around Brighton. The band have are being championed locally by BBC Southern Counties Radio, and also release their debut single on iTunes in March. Be there at 7.30 sharp to catch the vibe.
