Southamptons Finest Dead! Dead! Dead! Announce UK Tour and Single

2006 is destined to be the time for Southampton’s finest Dead! Dead! Dead!. Their second national tour at the end of last year and a host of support gigs have increased their profile considerably. The band headlined and supported successful dates at the Water Rats, The Marquee and Barfly London; and played alongside bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Ash, The Delays, The Departure, Forward Russia, The Young Knives and Tom Vek.

To coincide with their first single release George Lassoes The Moon/Mightiest Melodrama Of Them All, the band are embarking on their most ambitious tour yet throughout March and April; with dates across the UK and Ireland taking in many new, as well as some old favourite, venues. The tour kicks of with a Club NME night in Middlesbrough’s Empire on March 9th, ending on 2nd April at Cardiff Barfly.

The band’s strategy has been to release their recordings on a ‘limited’ basis. The now highly sought after 1st EP had a pressing of a mere 500; whilst the 2nd EP was increased to only 1,000 copies, which also easily sold out. The temptation to release further copies of both has been resisted, despite a constant stream of requests from frustrated fans. In keeping with the ethos of ensuring their early material is immediately collectable, the single release on 13th March (Tough Love Records – TLV004), will also be limited to 1,000 copies and issued on 7” vinyl as a 33rpm recording.

What the Press are Saying…

“So enthralling is their vast sound and original style, that it’s a challenge concentrating on anything else while you’re listening to them… catch them at a local venue while you still can!” The Mag

“D!D!D! will rule the world, it's a matter of when not if.” The Fly Magazine

“It would be an epic farce if they aren't big stars soon… Tricky to describe, bar one certainty: we need this band in our lives”
John Earls, Planet Sound (Channel 4 Teletext)

“ Dead! Dead! Dead! could easily be the best band you haven't yet heard.” Drowned In Sound
