Brit Bus Tour launch party featuring Glasswerk bands

Glasswerk favourites Lorca, The Amber Plan, Red Eye Banquet and Grand Rose Band are all performing at Turnmills next Wednesday, and could even be on their way to a gig in New York

In March 2005 BritBus Tour founder Julia Jones launched the very first USA tour in her double-decker bus as a promotional campaign bringing the latest UK music to Americans along the route. This road-trip captured the attention of the US media and reached millions of people. Now BritBus Tour 2006 hits the road again in May and we want you to be a part of it. Listen to the tour progress with SIRIUS Satellite Radio… watch the tour cross America on link.

On April 19th, Turnmills will host the tour launch party. Hundred of bands have entered a competition to go to America and play in New York and on this night the three finalists will be announced. There will also be live music from some of the best new bands we could find so all in all it is going to be a cracking night. Get there early to avoid disappointment.

We are very excited to have West London's RED EYE BANQUET headlining. Their innovative indie-rock hip-hop sound has won over all the likes of Radio 1's Steve Lamacq and Chris Moyles and with festival appearances in the pipeline, they will soon be embarking on their debut national tour.

Other acts on the bill are GRAND ROSE BAND, THE AMBER PLAN, LORCA and Julia Jones' own band will be kicking off the night.
