Bristol quintet Undercut release their brand new single ‘Doing Fine’ on April 24th 2006 on Distiller Records. Available as a download and limited edition signed 7” vinyl, this energetic track is the perfect example of their infectious hook-laden indie rock. With influences such as Queens of the Stone Age, The Pixies and The Doves, and with radio tastemakers calling them “the new Editors”, Undercut are hotly tipped for success in 2006.
To support the release, the band will be playing The Barfly in London on May 3rd. Check out link for details on gigs and other info and click on the link for an e-card from the band offering a chance to win tickets to the gig and the opportunity to check out their new video link
‘Doing Fine’ is the first single from their forthcoming album, due for release in the autumn. Wanting to capture the energy of their gigs, the band recorded the album as live in only 4 days, hence the album title “96 Hours”. For a run-down on the single, check out our review at link
“The Bristol quintet embrace so many things that are great about up-coming British guitar music right now. It’s ambition, its energy, its confidence and its skilled song-writing. They’re easily one of Britain’s most promising bands.” Rocksound
