Civilian The Debut Album out May 22nd

NME New Bands Tour Headline; New Single Suzie May 8th; Hard-Fi
mini-Festival dates; Teenage Cancer Trust; Love Music, Hate Racism;
Carling Live 24 Gigs, too!

Boy Kill Boy release their hotly-anticipated debut album, Civilian, on
Vertigo on May 22nd. The group, whose recent first single proper Back Again
also gave them their first Top 30 hit, will precede the release of the album
with a new single, the stunning Suzie, on May 8th, a prestigious headline
slot on this year¹s NME New Bands Tour, and acres more touring (including
two shows in a day on April 29th) that will see them perform to an
incredible 111,000 people in the run-up to the LP release that¹s
equivalent to a headline slot at Glastonbury, number crunchers!

The release of Civilian follows an incredible year for Boy Kill Boy, four
young chaps from Leytonstone who released two acclaimed limited edition
singles through Fierce Panda before being picked up by Vertigo, the label
they now share with Razorlight, The Killers and The Rapture. Months of
touring, including a bunch of dates with their pals Hard-Fi, have seen the
band accrue their own legions of fans and hone their song-craft to the
finished album that now arrives. Call the record what you like epic,
ravenous, doomy, electrified, billowing, bilious, brilliant what leaps out
at you from the outset is just how brazenly alive it is. Listen: how Ivy
Parker stands triumphantly on its monitor and thumps its chest. How Back
Again races Hell¹s highways on Beelzebub¹s own flaming Harley. How Suzie and
On And On karate-punch pop music¹s still-beating heart out of its chest and
devour it, cackling. Phew! As I say, it¹s good stuffŠ

Civilian will be made available on CD and 12² vinyl, each featuring these
eleven gems:

Back Again; On And On; Suzie; Six Minutes; On My Own; Ivy Parker; Civil
Sin; Killer; Friday-Friday; Showdown; Shoot Me Down

On to the touringŠ Boy Kill Boy will be leading the way on the
aforementioned NME New Bands tour, appearing with The Automatic, Forward
Russia and The Long Blondes, amongst others, at venues up-and-down the
country, concluding with an already sold-out London show at the Electric
Ballroom on May 24th. The group will step out with Hard-Fi and Graham Coxon
for four city-centre extravaganzas in Leeds, Brighton, Birmingham and
Newcastle. And amongst this, Boy Kill Boy will be doing their bit for good
causes, appearing with Razorlight at the Teenage Cancer Trust gig at the
Royal Albert Hall, and in Trafalgar Square for this year¹s huge Love Music,
Hate Racism show.

And all this before we even get on to the summer festivalsŠ
