C4 and E4 have re-commissioned a second series of music show The Album Chart Show. The series will again be produced by 3DD Productions and has been commissioned for another 20- week run. The new series will air in Autumn 06 running through to Spring 07.
The series will continue its format of each 30 minute show featuring a
number of live performances from major acts performing songs from their latest albums, in addition to artist interviews and the Top 20 UK Album Chart run down. The series is recorded close to transmission in front of a live audience at legendary London music venue Koko (the newly-restored former Camden Palace). The first series of The Album Chart Show, which is currently on air until mid-July, has already included exclusiveperformances from an eclectic mix of the well known alongside the up-and-coming artists including Franz Ferdinand, Pink, Primal Scream, Nelly Furtado, The Zutons and Dirty Pretty Things.
The series debuts in a Friday evening slot on C4, as part of the 4Music
zone, before going out on E4 on Saturday afternoons.
