Rocky takes a lover
Irish soft-rock quartet Bell X1's latest single concerns the fortunes of Rocky, one of the more eccentric characters to grace the blogosphere of late. 'Rocky Took A Lover', due out on 14th Aug, follows the romantic adventures of a morose, round-headed chap, who could be a distant relation to the Moomin clan, as he seeks to overcome his existential crises and commit to a serious relationship. With blog titles like The Eye Of The Tiger, and explorations therein of topics such as Bruce Springsteen lyrics (which evoke to him “the romance of the downward spiral and decay”), Rocky's quirky character betrays the classic rock sensibilities of the band that have made him their muse.
