Canadian act Moneen are set to release “If Tragedy Is Appealing, Then Disaster's An Addiction” as a download only single on August 13th. The single is taken from their current release The Red Tree, which is out now on Vagrant Records.
Produced by Brian McTernan (Thrice, Snapcase), The Red Tree is one of the most exciting rock albums of 2006 and, though the lyrics may have rather a dark feeling about them, the music is fresh and exhilarating.
Moneen's refusal to be intimidated by disgruntled metal fans at Download festival this year was one of the highlights of the weekend, as the band bounded and backflipped around stage with vim and vigour. They won over many of the more sceptical members of the crowd with ease.
