Fopp Open Flagship Store In London Today!

Fopp will be opening its biggest ever store today (Wednesday 26th July) in London.

The two-storey building situated on London's Tottenham Court Road, will become Fopp's flagship store, and is opening in Fopp's 25th Anniversary year of trading. With 20,000 square feet of music, DVDs, books and the very first Fopp Café in London, this flagship store marks an exciting new phase for the UK's award winning independent entertainment retailer.

The Ground Floor will house a vast range of specialist music alongside new releases, the Fopp Chart and vinyl. Whilst downstairs in the Basement there will be an extensive DVD and book range and the café to relax in, serving good coffee, hot and cold drinks and a selection of toasties all at simple prices.

The café area will also play host to the infamous Fopp In-stores where breaking bands play free, intimate sets. The Kooks, Mystery Jets and the Guillemots have all recently played at Fopp stores.

Fopp began life as a one-man record stall in a Glasgow indoor market 25 years ago. The company's success is based on an unrivalled formula of quality, low prices and good service. As the company grows, a policy of 'keeping things simple' has been crucial to Fopp's success and now permeates every aspect of the business: from store design and pricing to staff training and marketing. On the shop floor, extremely competitive prices, excellent service and a huge product range spanning every music genre from rare jazz vinyl to chart tunes have consolidated Fopp's popularity with the music loving consumer. A minimum of 20,000 lines are in-store at any one time and a collection of books and DVDs – including an extensive world cinema selection – have boosted the sales offer.
