The View are coming………

The View are headlining Levis One to Watch gig at Barfly in Liverpool on August 11th.

The View are from Dundee and are fast becoming a modern rock n’ roll sensation. Spotted only after their second gig at The Doghouse, The View signed up with local label Two Thumbs for an EP and have since signed to James Endeacott’s new label 1965 records. Having already played support slots with Primal Scream, Babyshambles and The Undertones, their live reputation keeps growing. They managed to gather a crowd of over two thousand people at T in The Park that knew every single word of each song they played.

Now whisked off to record their album with Owen Morris (producer of
Oasis’ ‘Definitely Maybe’), you should get a chance to check this band
out and the witness the maniacal fanbase closely attached to them.

The single ‘Wasted Little DJ’ is released via 1965 Records on August 7th

Now in its third year, Levi’s® OnesToWatch® 2006 kicked off at
London’s Barfly this January with electric performances by Jim Noir,
Jeremy Warmsley and Kill The Young. The line-ups in the past seven
months introduced yet more hot favourites performing across the
nation’s Barfly venues including Tapes N’ Tapes, The Fratellis, The
Boy Least Likely To, Larrakin Love, The Spinto Band, Get Cape. Wear
Cape. Fly! and The Maccabees amongst many others

Levi’s® has been bringing raw music acts from the suburbs into the
public consciousness for over two decades now. The LOTW music
programme, which launched in 2004 as a series of monthly gigs at
Barfly venues across the UK, has been a natural extension of this long
affiliation with music. Showcasing the best in new talent and giving a
unique opportunity for emerging artists to play to a discerning
audience, acts to date have included an astounding number of success
stories, including Scissor Sisters, Bloc Party, Mylo, Hard-Fi, The
Kaiser Chiefs and The Kooks to name but just a handful.
