Everyones Favourite DJ's on his way

After 4 years of living in music's wilderness, DJ Shadow has announced a UK tour.

This November sees Shadow kicking off in Newcastle before heading north for a show at the Glasgow Academy. The tour comes in line with the popular-disc spinner's new album, 'The Outsider', due for release on September 18. The album will be his first since 2002's 'The Private Press' and features a host of guest artists such as Kasabian, Q-Tip, Keak Da Sneak and Turf Talk.

Posting on his official website, he revealed how he feels some fans maybe turned off by the his new sound. He said: “The album is very diverse, and reflects the fact that I don't fit comfortably in any one genre. My critics see that as a problem, but I don't…it's simply the way things are.

“I've never really fit into any one clique. That's why the album is called 'The Outsider'. In some ways it's a risky record. It's going to turn some people off. And I think I'll lose some fans.”

The tour in full:

Newcastle Academy (November 28)
Glasgow Academy (29)
Leeds University (30)
Sheffield Octagon (December 2)
Birmingham Academy (4)
Bournemouth IC Solent Hall (7)
Norwich UEA (8)
Manchester Academy (9)
Nottingham Rock City (12)
Bristol Academy (13)
London Brixton Academy (15)

New single 'Enuff' will follow the album on September 24.
