Morrissey releases new single!
Poised for his Virgin Mobile's V. Festival headline slot later this month, Morrissey releases “In The Future When All's Well” on Sanctuary/Attack on August 21st.
This will be the third track to be taken from Morrissey's eighth solo album “Ringleader of the Tormentors”.
As ever, Moz is nothing if not a somewhat melancholic realist. Projecting to a time to come when “all's well”, fears are confronted, and life's issues are resolved, is all well (pardon the pun) and good. Standards and predicted outcomes have no place in Morrissey's world however Expectations, it seems, can be stifling – the only real certainty, in the truest sense, is death. And there is strangely enough, by Morrissey's code, something reassuring in that.
Significantly, as well as being released on the usual physical formats;
the single will also be available as a very special V Festival live
download. As fans and festival-goers watch Moz perform from the moshpit, they'll be able to grab their own slice of music history (this has never been before attempted on this scale), and a memento of the performance, by being offered the opportunity to order the live version of the track as they actually listen to it.
