Fopp – more instore shows announced
Fopp, the UK's award-winning music shop, is providing a means of exposure for new bands to play free in-stores all over the country.
The new flagship store on London's Tottenham Court Road is to host two eagerly awaited forthcoming in-stores. First up, the critically acclaimed Tapes 'n Tapes from Minneapolis. Discovered at this year's South By SouthWest Festival in Austin, Texas, they've been wowing industry folk and fans alike and their debut single Insistor – a track of immense quality that looks set to cement their place as the hottest indie act to come out of the US in 2006. A week later the store opens its stage once again to one of the UK's hottest vocalists, Alice Russell. Already an established singer and songwriter, Russell has just released the second installment of her 'Under The Munka Moon' collections. Ranging from soul to jazz; folk to funk and hip hop to reggae, Alice Russell provides something for everyone. She plays Fopp on:
