ONE WEEK * 20 VENUES * 250 BANDS

BIGGER, BOLDER AND BACK FOR MORE IN 2006!
25th September – 30th September
ONE WEEK * 20 VENUES * 250 BANDS !!

Striding confidently into it’s fourth year we are pleased to announce that Brighton Live will be returning to showcase Brighton’s best talent from the 25th September to the 30th September.

Last year’s event saw 20,000 music fans flock to the sell-out concerts, jam packed free shows and a host of panels, seminars and workshops. Brighton Live sees all the key Brighton bands, promoters, labels & music industry professionals working together to create a week full of music, which will showcase 250 bands over 100 free gigs in venues across the city (which include pubs, clubs, cafés, theatres, a church and even a library!)

This year we will be introducing new strands like Brighton Live Local (bringing bands to your local pub!) more outdoor events and shows in some interesting and unusual spaces as well as continuing the All Ages shows that were introduced last year and were such a success. In addition to this diverse collection of FREE entertainment, established Brighton acts will headline some special shows across the city during the week (see attached full line up).

HEADLINE SHOWS
Some of Brighton’s most established bands will be hosting their own exclusive nights during the week, including The Mutts and The Upper Room.

Live@Lunch
September 25th – 30th
Unitarian Church, New Rd. Brighton
Following on from the success of last year’s Live@Lunch series, The Brighton Live Festival is pleased to announce the return of Live@Lunch. This year, the series takes place in Brighton’s Unitarian Church and the programme features a selection of music and performances from the cultural mosaic that flourishes in the city.

The format for Brighton Live@Lunch will follow that which is used in the highly popular Brighton Festival Lunchtime Concert series, with all of the concerts taking place from 1-2 pm which will provide a wonderful opportunity for people working in the centre of town to enjoy the festival over their lunch-break. The Unitarian Church’s position on New Road, in the heart of Brighton makes it an ideal venue for this very special series of concerts (see attached line up).
