Mastered Your Sound?
This Sunday sees the return of ‘Your Sound’ to King Tuts, the best and freshest new initiative for unsigned bands and musicians in Scotland.
Starting October 1st, Your Sound will take place from 4pm to 8pm on the 1st Sunday of of every month and will feature guest DJ slots from Uncle John & Whitelock followed by an exclusive live showcase.
Having previously been described as ‘the living embodiment of MySpace’, Your Sound Term Two will promote as much new music as possible from unsigned artists onto the each months playlist. The tracks will then be DJ’d in the King Tut’s downstairs bar to an audience of fellow bands, music lovers and industry insiders, with special guests playing a selection of their personal favourite tunes each month.
This is an unrivalled chance for up-and-coming unsigned artists to network, meet other bands and get their sound across to the right people. Your Sound boasts guest DJ’s and music industry professionals like Vic Galloway (Radio 1 Scotland), Dominik Diamond (XFM Scotland) and Tam Coyle (My Latest Novel Manager / Death Disco DJ), so its an ideal chance for musicians to get themselves exposure.
To have the chance of making the playlist for Term Two, one should log onto link, click on the ‘Your Sound’ logo and follow the instructions from there. All bands who wish to enter must submit an application form.
