Y GENOD DROOG TO REPRESENT WALES AT THE BBC ELECTRIC PROMS

As well as having musical legends such as the The Who and current superstars such as Kasabian and The Raconteurs, the BBC Electric Proms will also showcase a whole host of new talent. Culled from BBC radio nationwide shortlists set up to find new artist who are bending the rules and smashing the stereotypes of music, Wales will be represented by Porthmadog based Hip Hop collective Y Genod Droog. Having formed just over 18 months ago this is a fantastic achievement for the band showing their hard work over that year and a half is undoubtedly bringing reward. They have only just returned from France having visited a Chateau to record material for their debut album. The Electric Proms will take place in Camden London at the end of this month and all the new talent invited will be given access to industry experts and work on different aspects of their performance. This invitation will also allow Y Genod Droog their first opportunity to play in the Capital with their performance scheduled for the 29th of October at the Barfly as part of the overall showcase of the invited new talent.
