The Galeri venue in Caernarfon recently held the first round of the battle of bands with six bands making it through to the final, which will take place on Saturday October 28th.
The band playing was divided into two categoris of under and over the age of 16. In the under 16’s category two bands made it to the final, these being, Relentless and Pwllheli band The Stilletoes, (pictured above). While Pinero, The Dirty Words, Zootechnics and De Mask won the day in the over 16’s category. The eventual winners of both categories will play a set in the Galeri’s Christmas gig on Saturday December the 9th, supporting Sibrydion and local boys Calansho. The judging panel for the grand final includes welsh punk legend Rhys Mwyn, welsh song-stress Elin Fflur and Lynsey Anne.
