Following the enormous success of its recent re-launch in October, ‘Your Sound’ will be returning to King Tuts on November 5th and will again be the place to be for all unsigned bands searching for recognition.
From 4 – 8pm budding stars are urged to come along and again mingle and network with some of the industries most important contacts. This time around ‘weegie’ favorites My Latest Novel will be the guest DJ’s and unsigned acts are encouraged to get their demo’s in now for a chance of being added to the ‘Your Sound’ play list or perhaps being named 'artist of the month'.
Previous winners include last months winner Joe Hay (link) and in term 1, groups like The Heebie Jeebies, Chris Flew, Invisibles and North Atlantic Oscillation.
King Tuts was packed for the re-launch of term two with plenty of demo swapping and networking taking place. Some of the industry professionals on hand to offer advice that night included Tam Coyle (My Latest Novel – manager), Say Dirty Records, Sharon Stephen (regional A&R for Columbia Records) and David O Hagan (Regional A&R for BMG).
To be included on the Play List for ‘Your Sound Term Two’, artists should log onto link and follow the instructions.
