‘One Voice Merseyside’ will be staging a unique and inspiring performance evening this November in association with Mzone (Merseyside Youth Music Action Zone) to raise money for the charity ‘Children with Leukaemia’.
‘Tonight We Sing 3’ is the finale of a project between One Voice, Fortismedia and Mzone who have combined to work with young singers throughout Merseyside to enhance their vocal skills and gain exclusive insights into the music industry including expectations and disciplines, stage techniques, delivery and presentation.
By hosting ‘Tonight We Sing’, One Voice is hoping to raise money and awareness of the Charity ‘Children with Leukaemia’. The event is perfect for raising awareness as all the performers are aged between 15-18. It’s positive and empowering for the young people involved – not only does One Voice enhance performance skills but it enables them to use those skills to help and benefit other children.
Project leader Steve NZE is delighted about staging the concert “We are really happy to be supporting such an important charity. It was our personal choice to support Children with Leukaemia as we deal with young people on a day-to-day basis and they are absolutely great to work with. This is an excellent way of raising awareness of the charity among Merseyside’s Youth”
Tonight We Sing 3’ will be the third showcase from the youth-based arts project ‘One Voice Merseyside’. The original showcase back in 2003 included young participants appearing alongside the impressive ‘One Heart One Voice’ choir was a huge success and ‘Tonight We Sing 3’ is set to be one of the most impressive concerts of this year.
Covering a wide cross section of genres, including urban, RnB, pop, country and rock, the second part of the show will see the kids perform tracks from Liverpool classics such as The Beatles, Atomic Kitten and Cilla Black.
