Getting Better All The Time – Your Sound Returns
King Tuts will once again play host to Your Sound this coming Sunday (Dec 3rd) and this time will feature a special guest DJ spot from legendary Scottish musician Eugene Kelly and Belle & Sebastian's Bob Kildea. Already well established as the best new initiative for unsigned artists in Scotland, Your Sound will run from 4 – 8pm and unsigned acts are again being urged to send their demos for consideration. Anyone not so familiar with the set up by now should take note of the chance of being added to the playlist or perhaps being given the coveted title of ‘Artist Of The Month’. Previous winners include bands like The Dykeenies, ‘We Are Physics’, ‘Yellow Bentines, ‘Joe Hay’ and last months winner ‘sixpeopleaway’. As well as the obvious prestige this title brings to a band, ‘Artists Of The Month’ plus two runners up will receive promotion on the Your Sound website, a feature on gigsinscotland.com and their profile will be added to the King Tuts website.
As last month proved, the forthcoming date will be a great chance for unsigned artists to meet new bands, network and get their music heard by the many important music industry insiders that will once again be there.
