U2 and Arctic Monkeys Grammy Nominations

U2 and Artic Monkeys have received Grammy nominations, along with Keane, Coldplay and The Raconteurs.

Arctic Monkeys have been nominated in the Best Alternative Music Album category for their debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not. While U2 have been nominated for their collaborations with Mary J Blige and Green Day, in the categories Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

Also nominated in the Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group category are The Raconteurs for Steady as She Goes and Best Rock Album for Broken Boy Solders.

Keane are up for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group for Is It Any Wonder? As are Coldplay for Talk.

Best Rock Song nominations include The Killers with When You Were Young and Snow Patrol with Chasing Cars. Best Alternative Music Album has nominations for Thom York’s solo album The Eraser and Yeah Yeah Yeahs Show Your Bones.

Gnarls Barkley have been nominated for Record of the Year with Crazy and Album of the Year with St Elsewhere.

Winners are announced at the 49th Grammy ceremony on 13th December in Los Angeles.
